Professor of Physiology at the National Veterinary School of Toulouse (ENVT), Véronique Gayrard has an initial training as an agricultural engineer from the National Superior School of Agronomy of Toulouse (1986-1989).
After a Master's degree in Neurosciences, she completed her PhD at the INRA station of reproductive physiology in Nouzilly. She then joined the ENVT for a postdoctoral fellowship (1993-1996) and has been a member of the teaching staff of the veterinary school since 1996. After a few years (1996-2006) focused on the study of endocrine disorders associated with prion diseases, her team carried out a thematic mobility towards questions related to endocrine disruptors and joined the UMR 1331 INRAE Toxalim. Since 2021, Véronique Gayrard has been deputy director of the SEVAB doctoral school.
